Overview
Plastic has become an inseparable part of modern life. Up to 60% of our everyday necessities are made from plastic, and it has quietly integrated into our daily lives. One of the most common production methods for plastic products is plastic injection molding, making it a crucial industrial technique closely tied to modern society.
Plastic injection molding is a fast and easy manufacturing process. However, due to the “cooling and shrinkage” properties of plastic, precise control over dimensions and appearance relies heavily on the technical expertise and experience of product designers and manufacturers.
Chia Kuan has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the plastic injection molding industry. With advanced software and hardware systems and integrated processes, we offer one-stop services—from mold design and fabrication, plastic injection molding, quality management, to packaging and delivery.
We are committed to working closely with our clients to produce high-quality plastic products and to becoming a trusted plastic injection molding OEM factory.
Three Core Elements of Plastic Injection Molding: Plastic Raw Materials, Plastic Molds, Plastic Injection Machines. These elements are further divided into subcategories based on manufacturing requirements. The injection molding process is a continuous cycle consisting of five stages:
-
STEP 1Plasticizing
Raw material enters the barrel, where the screw blends and melts it.
-
STEP 2Injection
The molten material is injected into the mold using the screw.
-
STEP 3Packing
Pressure is applied to the mold cavity to prevent material backflow and ensure a dense fill.
-
STEP 4Cooling
Cooling channels in the mold reduce the high-temperature molten plastic to a solid state with sufficient strength.
-
STEP 5Ejection
Ejector pins in the mold push the solidified plastic out for demolding.
